The Lleida Catering and Tourism School and the company Cafès Batalla, based in Lleida, have joined forces in a pioneering initiative to strengthen coffee culture in the classroom.
For the first time, a group of eight teachers from the Lleida Catering and Tourism School She has received specialised coffee training on her own premises, an initiative that arose at the direct request of the teaching staff themselves.
The training was structured across three key days, on the 3rd, 8th and 9th of September. During these sessions, the teachers delved into essential technical aspects, such as the botany and roasting of different coffee varieties, the crucial importance of correctly adjusting the grind size and the handling of milk to achieve optimum textures.
Furthermore, practical sessions on the preparation of coffee-based drinks were held, and the opportunity was taken to present new products from the brand. The training was led by Taia Zaharia, from Cafès Batalla, expert barista and coffee connoisseur.
This collaboration allows us to further strengthen the historical bond between Cafès Batalla and the Lleida Catering and Tourism School. Although the teaching staff already knew the factory Cafès Batalla In Lleida, where he carried out a technical visit, this is the first time a course of this nature has been organised, which ensures that the latest trends in the coffee sector are passed on directly to the next generation of catering professionals.
And Cafès Batalla, we are proud to be able to offer this important high-level training for hospitality and catering professionals.
