The Snail Apple he has become an ambassador for the city and the regions of Lleida. This is demonstrated by twenty-one editions of the Caragol Tour which sum up to 32 visited locations, from 11 different autonomous communities. «Exporting gastronomy and culture is also wealth.» The president of the entity explained today, Ferran Partridge, which has welcomed the presentation of the 45 Snail Apple in the Lleida Regional Centre, in Barcelona.
Attendees at the presentation included Agustí Jiménez, Vice-President of the Lleida Provincial Council; Joe Crest, Deputy of the Government; Rosa Maria Cube, Secretary of Food; Joan Gòdia, Director of Agri-food Industries; Arantxa Calvera, Director of the Catalan Tourism Agency; Juli Alegre, director of the Patronat de Turisme of the Diputació de Lleida; and Andreu Vázquez, Director of the Institute Institute of Ilerdenc Studies; in addition to Paul Pinós ‘The Pau of Pons, the popular actress Ivana Minho, and directors of sponsoring brands of the Aplec, which included Ramon Battle from Cafés Batalla.
The menu, “very innovative”, was designed by Ramon Tudela, chef and owner of the Rice restaurant Nope Rules, and his team: Pear gazpacho from Lleida with DO wine Coasters Scallops from the Segre, with goat cheese and crunchy peasant bread; and snails gourmand oriental, as starters. For the main course, a chef's speciality casserole rice. The desserts, once again, have been created by the students and teachers of the ESCHATOLOGY that they have prepared a Mousse of Pera de Lleida with Toffee.
