Cafés Batalla joins Catalonia, World Gastronomy Region 2025

Cafés Batalla has joined the initiative Catalonia, World Region of Gastronomy 2025an ambitious project that positions Catalonia as a world reference in gastronomy. This initiative recognises our valuable culinary and agri-food heritage, promoting its projection both locally and internationally.

Catalonia has thus become a the first European region to receive this distinction. The recognition confirms the consolidation of an innovative and regenerative tourism model where Catalonia's gastronomic revolution goes far beyond the restaurant and opens the doors to discover the territory and the local and unique food production.

The World Gastronomy Region is an initiative promoted by the World Food Programme (WGPD). International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism (IGCAT)The Institute is a non-profit institute that has been working since 2010 with consortia of regional entities and actors in the field of gastronomy, culture, arts and tourism. It has the experience of a global network of experts and collaborates with specialised intergovernmental organisations.
