Caf\u00e9s Batalla<\/b> is a company official licensee<\/b> of Colombian Coffee<\/b> since 1989. Thanks to this agreement, Caf\u00e9s Batalla is able to use the image of Juan Valdez<\/b>, logo, the Caf\u00e9 de Colombia logo, and the seal of the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI)<\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n

To be official licensee of Caf\u00e9 de Colombia<\/b> means that, every year, we are audited from the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia<\/b>. Periodically, twice a year, they take random samples that are sent to an independent laboratory that certifies that the coffee is 100% of Caf\u00e9 de Colombia<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

These requirements guarantee the authenticity of the coffee 100% Caf\u00e9 de Colombia from Caf\u00e9s Batalla<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The image of Juan Valdez and the PGI label<\/b><\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

Juan Valdez<\/b>\u00a0is the symbol and image of the\u00a0Colombian Coffee<\/b>. It was created in March 1959 by the agency Doyle Dane Bernbach (DDB). With Juan Valdez, his mule (Conchita) and the Colombian mountains in the background, the purpose of the logo is to identify and guarantee brands that truly consist of 100% Colombian Coffee approved by the\u00a0National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In turn, the Colombian Coffee<\/b>\u00a0is a\u00a0Protected Geographical Indication (PGI)<\/b>, recognised by the\u00a0European Union<\/b>\u00a0on 27 September 2007.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
