Lleida, 17 November 2025<\/em> - Caf\u00e9s Batalla<\/strong>the Lleida caf\u00e9, held the Barista Championship Coffee Battle 2025<\/strong> in a special edition of its 75th anniversary<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The competition, held on the premises of the Caf\u00e9s Batalla factory in the Camino de los Frailes industrial estate in Lleida, lasted more than five hours and attracted more than 100 people, including several catering establishments, specialised journalists and relatives of the participants. They all appreciated the interest and growing passion for speciality coffee culture.<\/p>\n

The winners of the day were:<\/p>\n

First Place (Gold Barista Trophy)<\/strong>: Cindy Maria Burgos<\/strong> from\u00a0Rugaca Bar<\/strong> (Huesca). He received the trophy and a high-end coffee machine. De'Longhi La Specialista Touch<\/strong>accrediting it as the Best Barista of Lleida 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Second Place (Silver Barista Trophy)<\/strong>: Clara Fern\u00e1ndez Donaire<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0Il Capriccio<\/strong>\u00a0(Lleida), who won the trophy and the attendance and travel to the\u00a0Coffee Fest<\/strong>\u00a0of Madrid 2026.<\/p>\n

Third Place (Bronze Barista Trophy)<\/strong>: Blanca Forcada Aguado<\/strong> from Carme Pastry Shop<\/strong> (Lleida), who received the trophy and a filter coffee machine.\u00a0Trinity Zero Black<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Championship brought together 10 professional baristas who demonstrated their talent. The contestants of this special edition were:<\/p>\n

The Championship was supported by Caf\u00e9s Batalla<\/strong>with their markings: Port Moka<\/strong>,\u00a0Tarraz\u00fa<\/strong>,\u00a0Tolesa<\/strong>, La Garza<\/strong>, Pura Vida<\/strong> y\u00a0Herbal Vitae<\/strong>and companies De Longui<\/strong>;\u00a0Crem<\/strong>;\u00a0Ravent\u00f3s Basagoiti<\/strong>;\u00a0Compak<\/strong>; Pascual<\/strong>;\u00a0Laborman<\/strong>;\u00a0Brita<\/strong>;\u00a0Eschotur<\/strong>\u00a0Lleida<\/strong> (School of Hospitality and Tourism of Lleida) ;\u00a0Repa<\/strong>; Evokes<\/strong>; Ponent Premium<\/strong>\u00a0(catering & events);\u00a0Bezoya<\/strong>;\u00a0Coka Pans<\/strong>and the collaboration of the Gremi del Caf\u00e8<\/strong>Torradors de Catalunya and the\u00a0Spanish Coffee Association (AEcaf\u00e9).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The participants faced two intense rounds to test their technique, creativity, precision and product knowledge. The jury, made up of professionals from the sector, assessed every detail:<\/p>\n

First Round:<\/strong> The Order<\/strong>The contestants had 8 minutes to prepare 8 random classic drinks (espresso, cappuccino, etc.). Speed, precision and cleanliness were valued.
\nRound 2: Fantasy Drink:<\/strong> The moment for originality, where each barista created two original drinks (with or without alcohol) in a maximum of 7 minutes. The jury scored the balance of flavours, technique, presentation and narrative.<\/p>\n

The jury of the championship was made up of a panel of experts, renowned professionals in the world of hospitality, gastronomy and catering:
\nLead Judge: Antoni Gros Manero<\/strong>representing the Coffee Guild.
\nSensory Judge: Gala Pip\u00f3 Piqu\u00e9<\/strong>Chef, barista and gastronomic communicator in the press and social networks.
\nSensory Judge: Laura Bosch<\/strong> (LLEIDA 2024 CHAMPION), Owner of the Sucrerie patisserie.
\nTechnical Judge: Albert Graells<\/strong>\u00a0(HEAD OF ROOM AT LA SILVESTRE ESTRELLA MICHELIN) of Bellvis.
\nSensory Judge: Mayer Z. Vincelle<\/strong>\u00a0(Barista Champion Huesca 2025), representing the Vincelle pastry shop in Jaca.<\/p>\n

Xavier Batalla,<\/strong> head of production at Batalla Caf\u00e9s, pointed out that \"With this championship we wanted to highlight the figure of the barista, giving visibility to his or her talent and promoting the culture of speciality coffee\".<\/em><\/p>\n
